Graduate Student Funding
Go to Applications
Part of the IPHRC mandate involves the support of graduate students registered in degree programs in which a research thesis is a major component. Applications are invited from Aboriginal students whose graduate program is involved in any health discipline. The research of non-Aboriginal applicants must coincide with the research interests of IPHRC. The selection of graduate students for these fellowships will be based upon the following criteria:
- Preference will be given to students of Aboriginal descent.
- Preference will be given to students whose research project coincides with the research themes of IPHRC. In respect to the four pillars of CIHR, these directions shall not usually include biomedical applications, and will explore only very relevant clinical applications. The emphasis will be on health research rather than medical research, and a community-based approach will be fostered and emphasized.
- Demonstrated academic achievement and research productivity.
Application requirements
- Students must be accepted into a graduate program in the Province of Saskatchewan. Please provide copy of letter of acceptance or proof of registration.
- Student’s current transcripts of undergraduate and graduate education must be submitted.
